New Project

As much as I would love to post the final product of the cottage (Textured it) I have a 15 day deadline to finish a new project for Marvimation. That includes modeling and texturing. So I'll post the cottage and the final for this new project within 15 days.

Ladybug!

So I had done this a while ago for my girlfriend's brother-in-law's company GoGreen Agriculture. It was to illustrate how they don't use pesticides and instead let ladybugs out on their crops to handle pest problems. Cottage

So here's the cottage. I just need to see if they want me to tweak anything otherwise it's done. Then I can continue on Eduardo, oh yeah.

Cottage Model

So my first official project for Marvimation is to model out a cottage in low poly, as realistically as possible. Here's the original cottage. Just want to say that I don't know who the structure belongs to, if it isn't Marvimation.

It looks nice and quaint. I was actually really excited for this one because my experience with structures in minimum. So here are some quick screen caps. If anyone has critiques on ANYTHING, please don't be shy; I can take a hit :)

I was planning on making normal maps for the bricks and the straw roofs in Zbrush. Can you imagine modeling all that out just in Maya....geesh. Yes, the timestamp is correct, all nighters for the win!

Woot!

So I got offered a position with Marvimation! I am now officially on their website so go check it out. It's not a paid gig, more like a contract internship, but I still get concepts to model from them. Which means I boost up my reel, model constantly, and (most important of all) I don't have to explain a long period of unemployment in a future job interview. Did I mention I could work from home, sweet. If I can i'll post the in progress stuff up, but I have to make sure that's all kosher.

I Got a Bite

So one of the places I applied for contacted me back. They want to test my modeling skills to make sure they match what was shown in my reel. I have a month from the 22nd to finish their test and if I do well enough I'll be offered a position. Wish me luck.

Searching for a yob

I'm still modeling Eduardo, but now I'm focusing more on applying for jobs. If anyone has any leads let me know :)
