Project Gir WIP 01

Unfortunately my schedule prohibits me from working on Gir for very long, but I'm a rebel so I'm going to bust some of him out anyway. This is his body so far. Instead of just leaving his mid section with a flat square of teal I decided to change it up a bit. Drawing inspiration from 50's tv sets, I made his mid section more like a screen. This gives it more dimensionality I think. I also seperated his body into two parts so it's not just a smooth surface all over. More progress soon.....I hope....

Inspiration strikes!

Seeing as I've been watching plenty of Invader Zim, I figured that I wanted to model Gir. Not just the plain Gir that you see on the show though, his design is fairly simple and I don't think it would take much time. I just tweaked with his design a bit more; made certain parts a little more believable in the real world and so on.It isn't him completely drawn out because I'm going to use another image as proportion reference. Some things I took from real life like his eyes or his belly tv (which I dont even know if it's actually a screen on the show). I don't really like his wrists or shoulders though, need to figure out a better design. Updates soon.
